The death of the cassette revolution has had many effects on me. One big thing is that it has taken me away from several of my favorite albums. It has been a long time since I’ve sat down and enjoyed Hammerbox’s S/T album or Concrete Blonde’s Bloodletting. Once album that I have found again thanks to this theme is Ruby’s “Salt Peter”. Easily, one of my favorite albums of all time, but I lost it to the cassette death. But this theme has given it new life. Ruby was the duo of Lesley Rankine and Mark Walk.

Illness is catching up to me and I think I need to lay down, so I’m gonna cut this one short. I’m bound to talk more about the band at another time. For now, check out my favorite song off of the album.

Song 712- “Hoops” by Ruby
