1028

It’s my birthday and for my birthday post I’m going to do one of my stream of consciousness style posts. I’m going to ask my girlfriend for a starting point and see what song it leads me to.

The starting point is “cosmos”. Cosmo is the first name of one of the characters on the Jetsons. The Jetsons had a pet named Orbity with springs for legs. Many mattresses come with box springs. The Princess and the pea is a fairy tale about a girl and several mattresses. Princess Leia Organa is the heroine of the Star Wars movies. Star Wars was a major political hubbub of the 80’s. Eighties was a song by the Killing Joke. The Killing Joke was a Batman novel written by Alan Moore who also wrote The Watchmen. The Watchmen featured a character called the Comedian. How did hell did Comedian Jeff Dunham get a TV Show? Jeff Dunham has a character named Peanut. The Peanuts comics include Charlie Brown and Snoopy. Charlie Brown was the name of one of the Leaders of the New School, along with Busta Rhymes. Busta Rhymes was in the movie Finding Forrester along with Anna Paquin. Anna Paquin stars in the television show True Blood. The song True by Spandeau Ballet became the root behind PM Dawn’s “Set Adrift on Memory Bliss”. Memory is a song from Cats. I adore Keyboard Cat, who once made fun of Stephen Colbert. Colbert was one of the voices on Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. Birdman is associated with rapper Little Wayne. Little Wayne appeared on the song “Let it Rock” by Kevin Rudolf. Rudolph the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose. Shiny is an exclamation used in Firefly. Firefly is a song by Breaking Benjamin. Breakin’ II: Electric Boogaloo is one of the best named movie sequels ever. Electric Six’s “Danger! High Voltage” features Jack White. Jack White turned down an offer to sing on Slash’s solo album. And I think I’ll post a song from Slash’s previous solo journey- Slash’s Snakepit.

Song 1028- “Beggars and Hangers Ons” by Slash’s Snakepit
